LAWRENCE LIVERMORE NATIONAL LABORATORY: SITE 300 SITE CHARACTERISTICS
Site Background
LLNL Site 300 is a DOE experimental test facility operated
by the University of California that conducts research,
development, and testing of high explosives and integrated
non-nuclear weapons components.
The 11-square mile site is located in the Altamont Hills
approximately 17 miles east of Livermore, California and 8
miles southwest of Tracy.
